The Dow Jones led the charge, climbing 0.93% to 51,828.62, while the S&P 500 added 0.51% to 7,743.41 and the Nasdaq gained 0.48% to 27,068.717. The Russell 2000 edged up 0.07% to 2,837.552, and the VIX dropped 5.11% to 14.87 as the 10-year Treasury yield retreated from a 5.225% peak to settle at 5.18%, providing a vital reprieve for equity valuations. Meanwhile, Gold ticked up 0.54% to 4,321.4.
